Rafal T. Marmur DMD, FAGD, FADS

Dr. Rafal T. Marmur provided dental services to the First Coast families for over 25 years. Native of Warsaw, Poland, he immigrated to the United States at age 15, escaping communism and Soviet rule. Graduate of Rutgers College, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Dr. Marmur brings broad dental and healthcare experience to our holistic practice.

After active duty service in the United States Navy, that included deployment during the Operation Southern Watch, Lieutenant commander Marmur settled in Jacksonville, FL with his wife Barbara. They opened Jacksonville Smile Center, a multispecialty practice with a focus on Cosmetic and family care.

During that time Dr. Marmur pursued numerous continuing education courses in esthetic and restorative dentistry. He was a longtime member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Fellow of Academy of General Dentistry and Fellow of Academy of Dental Sciences.

It was during one of those courses that he was exposed to the concept of holistic dentistry. He fell in love with the idea of providing minimally invasive biomimetic dental care that is in harmony with nature.

When the opportunity arose to work in such an environment, Dr. Marmur joined Tarantola Dentistry, eager to learn from the best, while complementing the practice with his lifelong esthetic and family focused dental experience.

His passions include travel, animals and Veteran charities. He is a part time travel blogger at PointsTravels.com as well as business consultant, helping healthcare providers improve their work-life balance.
