Jason D. Lewis, DDS, FAGD | Royce M. Barlow, DMD

Dr. Jason D. Lewis, DDS, FAGD is committed to excellence in dentistry as a student, practitioner, and industry leader. After earning his Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Dayton, he went on to get his dental degree from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Lewis is the past president of the Jacksonville Dental Society and has also served as president on several local, state, and national dental boards over the years. He is an active member of  the Florida Academy of General Dentistry, Florida Dental Association, Jacksonville Dental Society, and Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. He is also the founder and director of the Bartram Dental Assisting School; a new, state approved institution developed to train individuals to become dental assistants in an actual dental office with current technology instead of the traditional classroom.

Royce M Barlow, DMD has recently teamed up with Dr. Lewis and the Bartram Dental Center team. Dr Barlow is a lifetime resident of St. Johns County and a graduate from Pedro Menendez High School. At a young age, he decided that he would commit himself to the dental profession. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science from Barry University. Following that, he earned his dental degree from the LECOM School of Dental Medicine where he received the Academic Leader award for graduating at the top of his class.

Dr. Lewis and Dr. Barlow are committed to lifelong learning to be able to offer their patients the best  that dentistry has to offer. They both have advanced training in CEREC (single-visit crowns) and the Solea Laser, which allows them to perform a wide variety of dental procedures without having to numb their patients. This additional training makes procedures faster and more comfortable for their patients. Dr. Lewis also has advanced training in treating obstructive sleep apnea, dental implants, oral sedation, and orthodontics.

Both doctors also stay active in their community. They participate in national charities such as Give-Kids-A-Smile and Mission of Mercy, as well as hosting their own events to benefit Operation Smile and our military. They have also partnered with three other dental offices in Jacksonville with the purpose to unite the medical and dental communities. There are so many medical conditions that can be prevented with proper oral care. They feel that they a have responsibility to the community to educate patients on the oral systemic connection.
